These types of shirts were worn by all ranks of female soldiers under the jacket by all branches of the NVA, Grenztruppen, Volksmarine, Volkspolizei, Staatssicherheit and all other uniformed forces. They may be marked NVA or MdI. No loops for shoulder boards as none were to be worn under jackets.
